2020 CSA Share Options
The Summer Share runs on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays for 22 weeks, from June 1 through October 30. New in 2020, we will be offering 3 sizes of Summer CSA shares- Large, Medium, and Small. The Fall Share runs for 4 weeks on Mondays only: November 2, 9, 16, and 23. Fall Shares are available in one size. To purchase Summer and Fall CSA shares, you may use PayPal or the printable form.
Large Summer Produce Share: The large share costs $700, with an average 11 lbs. of produce per week. This comes to around $2.89/lb. In 2019, the weekly average was 11.40 lbs. This share is perfect for a family or household with 3 or more people who love to eat vegetables or someone who likes to preserve food throughout the season. Payments can be made in several installments or all at once: $250 deposit; $250 due April 15; $200 due May 15
Medium Summer Produce Share: The medium share costs $475. This comes to around $3.08/lb. with an average 7 lbs. of produce per week. In 2019, the weekly average was 7.43 lbs. We recommend this share size for a household of 2 or 3 people who cook at home throughout the week. Payments can be made in installments or all at once: $250 deposit; $150 due April 15; $75 due May 15.
New in 2020- Small Produce Share: The Small Share costs $350. This comes to around $3.98/lb and will average around 4 lbs of food per week. This share size will be perfect for an individual who might cook at home a few times per week. Payments can be made in installments or all at once: $250 deposit; $100 due May 15.
Fall Share: The Fall share costs $120 for 4 weeks of produce. Weekly averages are between 7-9 lbs. depending on the season.
Pick-up days are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for Summer Shares and Monday only for Fall Shares.
Pick-up Locations and Times
Besides offering pick up at the farm in Barre, we have delivery sites in Barre, Paxton, Worcester, and two locations in Holden (if 10 or more members join at each location). Learn more about these deliveries and pick-up locations here.
Summer CSA at a monthly glance – Though every year turns out substantially different from the last, here is a good sketch of what you might find in your bag.
Crops in June might include beets, turnips, radishes, green onions, peas, head lettuce, mesclun lettuce, rhubarb, chives, mint, cilantro, oregano, arugula, kohlrabi, dandelion greens, kale, Swiss chard, Chinese cabbage, kohlrabi, and strawberries. June is the smallest month of the CSA.
July often brings beans, beets, broccoli, green onions, head lettuce, shell peas and snap peas, a variety of herbs, garlic scapes, Swiss chard, collards, cabbage, kale, summer squash, cucumbers, raspberries, and apples.
August might include basil, beans, beets, carrots, celery, chard, cabbage, cucumbers, kale, head lettuce, parsley, summer squash, turnips, raspberries, and apples; new crops including tomatoes, carrots, garlic, potatoes, sweet peppers, and peaches.
In September look forward to beans, beets, carrots, chard, cucumbers, garlic, tomatoes, kale, lettuce, summer squash, parsley, and other herbs. New or returning crops are celery, leeks, dandelions, chives, onions, pears, sweet peppers, hot peppers, peaches, apples, potatoes, sweet potatoes, soybeans, broccoli, and cilantro.
In October, shareholders will likely continue to receive beets, carrots, tomatoes, turnips, chard, kale, leeks, onions, head lettuce, parsley, pears, peppers, potatoes, garlic, celery, collards, cilantro, Brussels sprouts, cabbage, and broccoli. New and returning crops might include arugula, turnips, radishes, bok choi, tatsoi, kohlabi, cauliflower, Chinese cabbage, and winter squash.
Fall Share at a Glance: Over the four week season these shares might include: beets, broccoli, Brussels sprouts, cilantro, carrots, celery, garlic, chicory, kale, leeks, onions, parsley, potatoes, arugula, spinach, parsnip, head lettuce, Mesclun lettuce mix, kohlrabi, collards, winter squash, radishes, and turnips.

If the above payment plan creates a hardship, please contact us to create an individualized plan, understanding that we cannot provide food that has not yet been paid for.
Paying with a Credit Card
We accept credit cards, but since this is not a normal part of our operation, we will charge a convenience fee, if you choose this option. Credit card prices are as follows: Summer Large: $721; Summer Medium: $490; Summer Small: $361; Fall Share: $124.
With Delivery to Barre, Paxton, Holden or Worcester: Summer Large: $766.50; Summer Medium: $535; Summer Small: $406; Fall Share: $133.
Special Payments for the CSA can be made using Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program benefits. We are partners with HIP (Healthy Incentives Program), managed through the Department of Transitional Assistance. Program participants can pick up at all sites.
