Available week of August 3rd

Pickling cucumbers = $3/lb

Lacto-fermented pickles are full of probiotics that support digestive and immune health – and they’re easy to make! This recipe from Sandor Katz’s Wild Fermentation makes a gallon of sour, NY-deli-style pickles.

Chard = $3/lb

Preserve these (or any) greens as follows: chop into bite-sized pieces. Put them into a pot of boiling water, wait for the water to return to a boil, and cook for 1 minute. Drain the water and cool the greens as quickly as possible in a bath of ice water. Drain, pat dry and store in plastic freezer bags.
