Mutual Aid Community Fridge Share

Purchase a share to be delivered weekly to the Worcester community fridges for the duration of the summer or fall CSA! Worcester Community Fridges believes having daily access to fresh food is a human right. In Worcester, 15% of families have identified as living with food insecurity. While navigating the Covid-19 pandemic, these numbers have risen significantly within the city. Community fridges are open 24/7, leaving no barriers in the way of someone accessing free food. In the spirit of mutual aid, we hope to contribute to our community by providing access to delicious, organic, nutrient-dense food for all!

Thanks to our generous donors, we were able to provide 16 weekly summer shares to the Worcester WooFridges this 2025 season!

It costs $875 to provide a weekly summer share and $170 for a weekly fall share.

Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) & Healthy Incentives Program (HIP)

Many Hands is proud to be one of the first farms in the Central, MA area to accept SNAP payments for farm fresh produce. We believe everyone should have access to delicious, organic, nutrient-dense food. We offer subsidized SNAP shares to our CSA members.

We are also an approved HIP vendor. HIP puts money back on your EBT card when you use SNAP to buy healthy, local fruits and vegetables at a local approved farm stand.

We are excited to have cultivated a new relationship with the Barre Food Pantry, here in town. During the winter months we will provide half and full dozens of eggs and will provide weekly boxes of fresh produce during the summer growing season.

The Food Pantry collects food from local donors, area markets and the Worcester County Food Bank. Volunteers serve more than 100 area families with a twice-monthly distribution at the Barre Congregational Church and with emergency deliveries during the month.
